Sharrae Allen

After growing up in Nashville, TN, Sharrae received her B.A. from Vanderbilt University with a major in International Politics and a minor in Middle East and African History. During her experience working for a refugee resettlement organization and with Holocaust survivors at the Tennessee Holocaust Commission, she developed a deep passion for helping victims of war and conflict. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Diplomacy and Conflict Studies at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) in Herzliya, Israel. Her research interests include: refugee issues, cultural intelligence in national security, public diplomacy, terrorist radicalization, and Middle East & African popular culture.

On a more fun note, Sharrae loves travel, Latin dance, and can’t help but pet every dog she sees. She’s a costume designer, plays classical piano, and played ultimate Frisbee in college so she’s always up for a pick up game.
