Laura is first and foremost a Texan, born in the heart of Dallas. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Centenary College of Louisiana with a minor in Spanish. Upon graduation, Laura fulfilled her goal of moving to Israel to pursue her Master’s degree at the Interdisciplinary Center at Herzliya. It was in Israel that she finished her Master’s degree in Government, Counterterrorism, and Homeland Security, while also completing a specialization cluster where she earned a certification in cyber-security and cyber-terrorism. She has previous experience working in Washington D.C., researching front-organizations, terrorist propaganda, and assisting in event management.
Aside from counterterrorism, Laura’s two passions are music and travel. She has traveled to 16 countries (and counting), 4 of which she visited when she was on tour, singing & performing with other colleagues. She is also fascinated by identity, social media trends, and terrorism finance.
